Winter Thaw

Winter Thaw
As light moves between winter trees and the first warmth of springtime begins to flood into the breeze, there’s a hope that emerges. The thaw reminds us that with the sun, new things can grow and the cold hard ground of winter will soften once more leaving room for new life to take root.
This framed original watercolor & ink painting is mounted on archival museum mounting board using archival water activated linen hinging tape. 1/8” spacers are placed between the glass and the art protecting it from direct contact with the glass and allowing for the full deckled edge of the paper to show. This highlights the beauty of the handmade watercolor paper.
The back is titled, signed and dated. It also displays a quote that pairs with the painting:
“In the springtime, the heart regrows hope.” - Angie Weiland-Crosby
