Still Longing

Still Longing
Do you ever find yourself completely mystified by branches that cover the night sky? There’s a certain kind of longing that the reach of the branches evokes for me and I cant help but stare up in complete wonder when I catch it. There’s a possibility that the full moon holds, as if it’s a giant North Star pointing me on my path rooting for all of my dreams to come true.
This framed original watercolor & ink painting is mounted on archival museum mounting board using archival water activated linen hinging tape. 1/8” spacers are placed between the glass and the art protecting it from direct contact with the glass and allowing for the full deckled edge of the paper to show. This highlights the beauty of the handmade watercolor paper.
The back is titled, signed and dated. It also displays a quote that pairs with the painting:
"Like billowing clouds, Like the incessant gurgle of the brook, The longing of the spirit can never be stilled." -Hildegard von Bingen
