A chill in the winter air cuts against my nose as the last of the afternoon sun begins to set behind the trees. There’s a crunch beneath my feet with every step as I walk through the woods of Maxwell Mays Wildlife Refuge in Coventry, RI. The further I walk the more I feel my worries and anxieties melting away like the remnants of the recent snowfall that surrounds me. If you find yourself feeling cold in the dead of winter, let the glow of the afternoon sun warm your soul and take you to the place you need to be.
